Sid also associated Mr Saravanan who called him to work in the tamil
comedy
Pammal K Sammandham. That was his launch pad into
Tamil Cinema.
Snippets
After finishing the 3 year course from FTII, Chennai, Sid was unsure
what he should be doing. And he was pretty much impressed with Mr Govind
Nihalani and wanted to work with him, Govindji being a
director-cameraman. In those days of no email, Sid wrote to him on an
inland letter requesting to work with Govindji, least expecting a reply.
A week later, there sure was a reply, in Govindji's own handwriting,
asking him to come over. And that's how things got rolling....
